Jeana Wescott, MDiv, MA, LMFT

I understand the vulnerability it takes to make the first step into the therapeutic space. I believe in collaboration with clients that nurtures the therapeutic relationship to offer a safe environment that promotes a sense of self and encourages lasting change.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families. My experience has included working with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, life transitions, grief and loss, ADHD, relational issues, pre-marriage, divorce, intimate partner violence, and spirituality.

I specialize in couples therapy, working from evidence-based Emotionally Focused Therapy and science-based Gottman Couples Therapy Method. My experience working with couples is reaching emotional safety, exploring effective communication, reducing conflict, gaining deeper connections, and repairing infidelity. I also enjoy specialized work with women who desire personal growth and self-compassion, addressing emotional and physical wellness alongside their mental and emotional health.

Jeana can combine her education and experience in theology, chaplaincy, and therapy to provide a person-centered care approach upon request. Her spiritual care experience utilizes compassion to assess religious, spiritual, and existential concerns integrated throughout the therapy process. She believes in the client's values, cultural values, and beliefs. She does not promote a particular spiritual or religious agenda as a professional. Jeana is specialty trained in interreligious dialogue to meet people where they are at on their spiritual journey. The client is the leader of expressing their beliefs in the therapeutic space.
