MA, LMFT
Hello! I’m Lisa Kastenbauer. I’m a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and provide telehealth and face-to-face therapy at the Anoka location (evenings only at this time). I received my BA through the University Minnesota and my Master’s Degree through the University of Wisconsin. I am licensed as an LMFT through The Adler Graduate Program. I provide couples counseling, family and individual therapy to adults (both men and women), and therapy to children of all ages. I have interest and experience in working with issues of Anger, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, ASD and school related issues. In addition to my work as a therapist I have worked as a school psychologist for over 25 years! I have had the opportunity to learn and utilize a number of therapy modalities including psycho-education, cognitive-behavioral therapy, hypnotherapy, trauma based approaches, and Internal Family Systems. I incorporate play, movement and art into therapy sessions. I’m passionate about ‘doing therapy’ and feel it’s a calling for me. I consider myself a life-long learner and in my spare time I have about a million hobbies! I’m married, have 3 grown sons, two lovely daughters-in-law and a grandson.
