Carrie McCann
MA, Mental Health Provider
ANOKA/TELEHEALTH
Hi! My name is Carrie McCann and I have my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently working towards full LPCC licensure under the supervision of Amber Fuller. I work both out of the Anoka Office and Telehealth. I believe everyone has a story and I strive to create a space that honors your story, celebrates honesty, and encourages growth.
When I started my journey towards becoming a therapist I was in a difficult place in my life and put a pause on my pursuit knowing I had my own work to do. My marriage was falling apart, I was experiencing frequent panic attacks, and was overwhelmed by depression. I was able to find hope, healing, and health through my own journey of therapy and years of hard personal and relational work. I came out the other side of that season of life knowing I was ready to continue my pursuit of becoming a therapist and help others find hope and healing as well.
I have a very personable approach that leans into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and draws from Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and mindfulness-based therapy. I also believe spiritual beliefs and practices can enhance healing and recovery for those who are interested.
Outside of work I love spending time with my husband and three daughters, getting outside, reading both fiction and non-fiction, the pursuit of laughter, and dark chocolate.
