Grad Student
My name is Kristen Ward. I am a current graduate student at Saint Mary’s University. I am pursuing a degree in Psychology and Counseling Services to obtain an LPCC (Licensed Practicing Clinical Counsel) license. I will take a holistic and somatic approach. I plan to incorporate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
I am passionate about working with clients of all ages. I have a background in education and was a teacher for six years. I would love to work with children/adolescents. I also have a strong interest in identity work. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and would be honored to work with someone in the LGBTQIA+ community.
I hope to offer a safe, empathic, and validating setting for every client. My goal will be to include values work and create a collaborative relationship in hopes of supporting you and your healing. It would be my honor and pleasure to work with you!
