Hello! My name is Kevin Hooker and I am a recent graduate of Liberty University's Professional Counseling program! During my time as an intern, I had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. I have worked with people that have depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, pornography addiction, and sex addiction and all of these clients gave me an opportunity to not only gain experience as a new therapist but create learning experiences everyone could benefit from. I believe that if you approach every conversation with the belief that the other person has something to teach you, your time together will be fruitful. I have several different approaches to therapy but the ones I use the most revolve around the strengths and abilities of you the client. You know yourself better than I ever could so I want to come alongside you on your journey to mental health and help you reach self-actualization. Within all of us is the strength and will to overcome whatever we may be facing.

My favorite verse in all of scripture is 2 Corinthians 12: 9-10 which basically says that weakness is something to be delighted in because through our weakness, God becomes our strength. We should not be afraid of weakness but embrace it, learn from it, and become the best version of ourselves we can be.
